Cypress Home Care

Our Caregivers

At Cypress, we only employ caregivers who we would feel comfortable letting into our own homes!

We have one of the most thorough caregiver recruiting and screening processes. Prior to hiring, we conduct extensive background screening and interviews with each caregiver, carefully selecting only those who meet our high standards. Our caregivers must have a minimum of two years’ home care experience. Of course, most of our caregivers have many more years of caregiving experience.

Our caregivers also have to pass a written competency exam and behavioral assessment. We then verify their history as a caregiver to ensure their compassion and integrity so that you get the most professional and loving caregivers in town.

Peace of mind – Our caregivers are bonded and insured, so you’ll never have to worry about any loss, damage, injury, or liability that could result from having a caregiver in your home.

Great caregivers, great people – Care is only as good as the people who provide it. Our caregivers are carefully selected for their skill, character, and compassion. You’ll find them to be warm, personable, compassionate, and very pleasant company.

Compatible – We invest a lot of effort to match up the perfect caregiver for each individual client, so you know that your loved one will be in good hands – and in good company.

Client orientation – The last thing you want is an unfamiliar face just showing up at the door. With Cypress’ Client Orientation you and your loved one will get to know your caregiver before they begin service to you!

Fall prevention – Our caregivers are specially trained in fall prevention techniques. This plays an important role in keeping clients healthy and safe.

Our caregivers are licensed, trained, supervised, and compassionate. All caregivers are bonded and insured. At Cypress Home Care, all caregivers are put through extensive training to ensure they are qualified for every assignment given to them. All caregivers must meet certification requirements as determined by the Home Care Association of America. They are randomly drug/alcohol tested and must pass a National Criminal Background check.

Our hiring and educational development team provide 12 trainings a year so that our caregivers have the skills and knowledge to carry out unique care plans for our clients. They receive specialized training, as well, in specific categories such as Traumatic Brain Injuries, Spinal Cord Injuries, Alzheimer’s disease/Dementia, ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease), Multiple Sclerosis, and CPR. Our comprehensive training programs are on-going to ensure every caregiver has the skills and knowledge to provide high quality care. Thus, we are able to confidently provide peace of mind to all our home healthcare clients.

The Right Caregiver Match

After a client and their family helps us to determine and create the plan of care, we thoroughly evaluate our caregivers to make a great match. We consider skills and experience, certifications, personality, hobbies, outside interests, and other qualities.

Caregiver Guarantee

If a client or family is not comfortable for any reason with their assigned caregiver, we’ll make a change to ensure we meet their comfort level and needs.
